Job Description

Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary School is seeking caring, energetic, and dependable individuals to join our Extended Day team. Extended Day Care Assistants play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where students can learn, play, build friendships, and grow in faith before and after the school day. This position is ideal for parents, education majors, retirees, and anyone who enjoys working with children. If you enjoy working with children and want to be part of a joyful Catholic school community, we encourage you to apply. Schedule Staff members are asked to work a minimum of two days per week. Our Extended Day program operates Monday through Friday when school is in session: Morning session: 6:45 a.m.-8:30 a.m.
Afternoon session:
2:45 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Applicants interested in morning sessions, afternoon sessions, or both are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Supervise students in kindergarten through eighth grade during Extended Day hours. Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment through games, activities, quiet time, and homework assistance. Support and uphold the Catholic mission, values, and behavioral expectations of the school. Assist with student check-in and check-out procedures and maintain accurate attendance records. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Follow all school policies and procedures related to safety, supervision, behavior, and emergency response. Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming Extended Day spaces.
