As an Infant Room Teacher, you will be instrumental in creating a warm atmosphere where infants feel secure and supported while promoting their social, emotional, and developmental milestones. Duties Provide a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for infants. Supervise infants closely and ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Follow each infant's individual schedule for feeding, diapering, naps, and daily care. Prepare and provide bottles and meals according to parent instructions and center policies. Maintain proper hygiene, including diapering, handwashing, and sanitizing classroom areas. Engage infants through talking, singing, reading, music, tummy time, and sensory activities. Observe and document each child's daily activities, feeding, diapering, sleeping, and development. Communicate professionally with parents about their child's daily routine, progress, and needs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom. Work cooperatively with other teachers and staff. Follow all center policies, procedures, and New Jersey childcare licensing requirements. Perform other classroom duties as assigned by the Director or Lead Teacher. Experience Prior experience working with infants in a childcare or daycare setting is highly preferred Previous experience working with infants or in a childcare setting preferred. CDA or early childhood education experience is a plus. Must be caring, patient, reliable, and attentive. Good communication and teamwork skills. Must be able to pass required background checks and meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements. Experience with classroom management techniques tailored to young children's needs Certification in first aid, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), pediatric first aid is required or willing to be obtained upon hire Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
