- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for toddlers or Pre-k.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play & educational activities.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress,, document and provide feedback to parents/guardians as needed.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
- Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with toddlers/preschool-aged children, preferably in a licensed childcare center or preschool setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred
Skills:
- Experience working with students in a preschool or early childhood education setting
- Knowledge of infant care, toddler care, and childhood development
- Ability to educate children using age-appropriate teaching methods
- Familiarity with special education practices for young children
