Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for toddlers or Pre-k.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
  • Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through play & educational activities.
  • Monitor and assess each child's progress,, document and provide feedback to parents/guardians as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with toddlers/preschool-aged children, preferably in a licensed childcare center or preschool setting
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred
Skills:
  • Experience working with students in a preschool or early childhood education setting
  • Knowledge of infant care, toddler care, and childhood development
  • Ability to educate children using age-appropriate teaching methods
  • Familiarity with special education practices for young children
