Job Description
Preschool Outdoor Enrichment Teacher Needed A NAEYC accredited, non-profit preschool in Montclair, NJ seeks part time outdoor enrichment teachers 5 Afternoons with children ages 3-5. This position is 12:30-3:00pm. Candidates must have an understanding of young children and be able to be outside in all weather. Candidates must have a warm disposition and able to communicate with young children and parents. You must be agile, able to be outside in all weather, sit on the floor with children and lift 25lbs. Candidates must have an understanding of child development and a strong interest in nature. Seeking candidates with a minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Ed, Child Development Associates, or experience in an early childhood setting is best A strong background, in the following is a plus:
- Ability and desire to think creatively about ideas and materials
- Be Outdoors in all weather
- Strong collaborative skills with peers
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to direct children with special needs
- Ability to lift 25lbs, run and sit on the floor with children
