In this lively role, you'll serve up sweet treats with enthusiasm, provide exceptional customer service, and create memorable experiences for every guest. Your energy and passion for food will help foster a fun, welcoming environment where everyone leaves with a smile. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food service skills while sharing your love of gelato and desserts with the community. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite gelato flavors and toppings Operate POS to process sales accurately and efficiently Prepare and serve gelato, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained Manage customer orders, upsell products, and promote special flavors or promotions to enhance sales Maintain a clean workspace by regularly sanitizing equipment, counters, and utensils in compliance with food safety regulations Operate kitchen equipment safely for serving or preparing additional menu items as needed Handle cash register operations, process cash transactions, and give accurate change while maintaining accountability Requirements Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail sales is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential Customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively Ability to manage time effectively during busy periods, multitask efficiently, and stay organized Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities Experience operating kitchen equipment or working in a fast-paced food industry environment is advantageous Previous retail or grocery store experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory Join us as an OGGI Gelato Scooper and become part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering delightful treats while creating joyful moments for our guests!
