Responsibilities Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development and learning. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety through attentive child supervision and classroom management. Assist with daily routines such as potty training , minimal food prep, nap time, and transitions to foster a nurturing environment. Engage children in educational games, arts and crafts, storytime, and other developmental activities that enhance cognitive and social skills. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to build trust and partnership. Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any concerns related to child safety or well-being. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards, including first aid procedures when necessary. Skills Experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings with classroom experience preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response during emergencies. Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork within the childcare setting. Ability to manage behavior positively through behavior management techniques tailored for young children. Understanding of mandated reporting laws to ensure compliance with legal requirements for child protection.
