SCOPE AND FUNCTION

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pre-Kindergarten (Pre-K) Teacher to join our team. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering the early development and education of young children. You will create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where children can explore, learn, and grow. Your creativity, patience, and commitment to early childhood education will be essential in preparing our young learners for a successful transition to Kindergarten.

DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITY 1

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children 2
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow 3
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning 4
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity and cultural awareness 5
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support each child's individual needs and development 6
• Monitor and assess each child's progress, providing feedback to parents/guardians as needed 7
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, behavior, and developmental milestones 8
• Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

• Some experience teaching children 3-4 y/o
• CDA certificate (required)
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to respond to and communicate with person at all levels in a multicultural community
• To be accountable to the Director and head teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working with preschool-aged children preferred
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play
• Familiarity with literacy education, physical education, special education, and child welfare practices
