Job Overview We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dependable Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Candidates must have at least 1 year of previous classroom experience in a lead teaching or similar early childhood education role. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for managing the classroom, implementing curriculum, maintaining a safe and positive learning environment, and supporting the developmental needs of young children. Responsibilities Lead and manage the classroom while maintaining a safe, organized, and nurturing learning environment Implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans Provide engaging learning experiences in literacy, math, science, physical development, and social-emotional learning Use effective classroom and behavior management techniques Maintain consistent classroom routines and expectations Observe and document children's developmental progress Identify and support children who may need additional developmental or behavioral assistance Communicate professionally with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress, needs, and classroom activities Work collaboratively with assistant teachers, management, and other staff members Ensure classroom procedures follow school policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards Maintain accurate classroom records and complete required documentation Qualifications Minimum 1 year of previous experience working as a Lead Teacher or in a similar early childhood classroom role required Previous experience working in a daycare, preschool, childcare center, or early childhood education setting Strong classroom and behavior management skills Ability to confidently lead a classroom and work effectively with other teachers Excellent communication and organizational skills Dependable, professional, patient, and enthusiastic about working with children CDA certification preferred, but not required Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred, but not required Benefits We value our teachers and offer benefits designed to support their health, well-being, and work-life balance, including: Paid vacation time Paid sick time Healthcare plan options available Dental plan options available Vision plan options available Supportive and professional work environment Opportunities for professional growth and development We are looking for experienced Lead Teachers who are confident in managing a classroom, implementing curriculum, and creating a positive learning environment where children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
