Job Description
Temporary Preschool Teacher (September) - Certified Teacher Required We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and certified Preschool Teacher to lead a preschool classroom during the month of September . This temporary position offers the opportunity to remain with our program as a certified substitute teacher supporting our district preschool classrooms throughout the school year. Responsibilities Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Observe and assess student progress while communicating effectively with families and staff. Maintain classroom routines and use positive behavior guidance strategies. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality preschool program. Attend all required back-to-school trainings, district meetings, and professional development sessions. Providing hands-on, play-based, child-centered learning experiences. Encouraging exploration, creativity, problem-solving, and social interaction. Guiding learning through meaningful experiences rather than direct instruction alone. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Valid New Jersey Substitute Certificate or Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) Certification (required). Experience working with preschool-aged children. Knowledge of child development and effective classroom management. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies GOLD . Experience with play-based or inquiry-based instruction. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
