Job Description

Company Overview Montessori Academy of New Jersey is dedicated to nurturing young children through a high-quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood education environment. We serve children from 6 months to 6 years old, fostering a love of learning and supporting their growth in a warm, engaging setting. We are seeking an energetic and passionate Infant Classroom Lead Teacher to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will lead and inspire a classroom of infants, creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment that promotes early childhood development. Your expertise will help lay the foundation for lifelong learning by implementing innovative curricula and fostering positive relationships with children and families. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for infants. Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early intervention, literacy education, and overall childhood development. Manage classroom routines, behavior management strategies, and individualized care plans to meet each child's unique needs. Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles, sensory activities, and physical education. Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or special education needs. Maintain accurate documentation of developmental progress and participate in assessments such as standardized testing when applicable. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, childcare standards, and licensing requirements. Qualifications Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and early childhood education practices. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing Montessori or similar educational approaches. Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and early intervention programs. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members. Prior preschool or private school experience is preferred; infant/toddler care experience is highly valued. Certifications in child welfare or childcare are advantageous. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
