Company Overview The Montessori Academy of New Jersey is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating preschool environment for children ages 6 months to 6 years. Our goal is to foster early childhood development through innovative teaching methods and compassionate caregiving. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Infant Room Lead Teacher to join our team. In this vital role, you will lead and inspire a team of caregivers while creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for our infants. Your passion for early childhood education and expertise in infant care will help shape the foundational experiences of our youngest learners. Duties Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a nurturing and structured environment tailored to infants' developmental needs Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote growth in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills Monitor and document each infant's progress, behaviors, and milestones to communicate effectively with parents and team members Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid procedures and health guidelines Foster positive behavior management strategies to support individual needs and encourage respectful interactions Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive team environment focused on quality childcare and education Maintain a clean, organized classroom that complies with licensing standards and promotes a healthy space for infants Skills Proven experience working with infants in a childcare or preschool setting, including classroom management and caregiving techniques Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications are a plus Strong understanding of early childhood education practices, including classroom experience in daycare or nannying environments Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively Ability to manage behavioral challenges with patience, empathy, and professionalism Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to infant care Join us at the Montessori Academy of New Jersey where your dedication can make a lasting impact on young lives. Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
