In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create engaging, safe, and developmentally appropriate activities for toddlers. Your positive energy and commitment to child development will inspire curiosity and foster a love of learning in every child. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in early childhood education while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through routines with patience and consistency Engage children with age-appropriate activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and learning Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns in a professional manner Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards including first aid and pediatric CPR protocols Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately Qualifications Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or similar settings is highly preferred Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required or obtainable upon hire Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is a plus Strong classroom experience with toddler care, behavior management, and classroom management skills Ability to communicate effectively with parents, team members, and children from diverse backgrounds Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Passion for nurturing young children's growth through caregiving, teaching, and play-based learning Join us in creating a joyful learning environment where every toddler feels safe, supported, and inspired to explore the world around them!
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per week
