  • $48 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Referral program Qualifications Experience teaching visual & performing arts Youth programs teaching experience Dance coaching experience Working with students Teaching experience with young children Classroom Teaching Cheerleading Full Job Description Our traveling dance and enrichment company is looking for an outgoing and energetic dance teacher to instruct classes to students in preschool.
Specifically, teachers that love the art of dance, have experience with children 2-5 years have outstanding people skills, are reliable and organized, are enthusiastic, and love to inspire young children. Must be fun and energetic! The lead dance educator has the below responsibilities: Travel to schools in the area and introduce the art of dance to little ones Commit to a season of 8-12 weeks Supervise and manage young children to listen and participate Choreograph age appropriate dances and cheers Follow our thematic and concept based curriculum Be on time and present for all scheduled classes, call outs are only accepted within 24 hours of notice
Scheduling:
  • We travel to different schools and venue in the northern NJ area
  • You are responsible for getting to the schools and will be paid for any drives over 30 minutes
  • Classes are typically 30 minutes long, about 2-4 classes each school/location approx 9:30-11:30 or 3-5PM
  • Once you let us know you are interested in teaching and upon being hired, we will train you and let you pick your schedule depending on our schools' needs.
An example teaching schedule:
Tuesdays 10am-12pm at a preschool in Montvale Wednesdays 930am-11:30am at a daycare in Paramus Thursdays 10-11AM at a preschool in Lyndhurst Thursdays 3-4PM at a preschool in Closter (locations vary, above is an example) There may be potential for more classes and shifts in the future. More hours could be added if the candidate is interested in more days in the Hudson County and Bergen County area. Additional pay and hours for teachers who want to assist classes on their own during training period.
