$65,000 annually About the Position A prominent and well-established preschool is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and nurturing Certified Preschool Teacher to lead a Pre-K (3) classroom. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development and a genuine passion for creating a warm, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. This position requires an educator who is confident in the classroom, highly organized, collaborative, and committed to maintaining high educational and professional standards. The teacher will work closely with children, families, colleagues, and school leadership to support each child's growth and development. Teachers will implement high-quality instruction aligned with the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards while fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. What You'll Do Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with: New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards Creative Curriculum, Tools of the Mind, or other district-approved instructional models Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including multilingual learners and children with individualized educational needs. Create hands-on, play-based learning experiences that promote inquiry, problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and independence. Observe, assess, and document children's progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD . Maintain accurate student records, assessment documentation, and progress reports. Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that supports social-emotional learning, self-regulation, and respectful relationships. Build strong partnerships with families through conferences, workshops, classroom activities, and ongoing communication. Provide families with resources and strategies that support children's learning and development at home. Collaborate with administrators, instructional coaches, special service providers, and colleagues to support student success. Participate in required professional development, faculty meetings, and school-sponsored events. What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field (Required) . Valid New Jersey Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) Instructional Certificate , including one of the following: Standard Certificate Certificate of Eligibility (CE) Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) Thorough knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. Minimum of two (2) years of experience teaching in a Universal Preschool, Head Start, Abbott/SDA district, or public preschool program. Experience implementing Creative Curriculum, Tools of the Mind, or comparable preschool curriculum preferred. Familiarity with the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment system is preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational, documentation, and classroom management skills. Ability to analyze assessment data and adjust instruction to support individual student growth. Proficiency with educational technology and digital assessment platforms.
