Teachers will implement high-quality instruction aligned with the New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards while fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. What You'll Do Support the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and routines Assist with implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with: New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards Help create a warm, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment Provide attentive supervision and support to children throughout the school day Assist children with classroom routines, transitions, meals, toileting, and other age-appropriate needs Encourage positive social interactions, cooperation, and respectful behavior Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom Prepare classroom materials and assist with setup and cleanup Work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other members of the teaching team Communicate respectfully and professionally with children, families, and colleagues Follow classroom policies, school procedures, and health and safety requirements Support school activities, special events, and other responsibilities as needed Serve as a positive role model for young children What You'll Need Previous experience working with young children preferred A genuine interest in working with preschool-aged children Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor Dependable, responsible, and punctual Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team Ability to follow direction while also taking initiative when appropriate Professional demeanor and positive attitude Ability to remain calm, attentive, and patient in a busy classroom environment Strong commitment to children's safety and well-being Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, caring, energetic, and team-oriented.
