Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As the leader of our preschool classroom, you will create a positive atmosphere that encourages curiosity, social-emotional development, and foundational skills. Your role is vital in guiding children through early childhood education milestones, ensuring they develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning. Duties Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social skills. Lead daily classroom activities, managing routines and transitions smoothly to maintain an organized learning environment. Foster positive behavior management strategies to support children's emotional regulation and social interactions. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality educational experiences. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification requirements. Conduct ongoing assessments of child development using standardized testing tools when appropriate to tailor instruction effectively. Requirements Must have valid NJ P3 Certification, either Standard or CE Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting with classroom management skills. Strong background in early childhood education principles, including child development instruction and childhood development theories. Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies. Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention practices, and behavior management techniques. Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
