Your expertise will support their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through innovative teaching strategies and compassionate care. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, literacy, and social skills. Provide attentive infant and/or toddler care by monitoring health, safety, and well-being throughout the day. Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive, structured environment that encourages exploration and discovery. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences. Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain an organized space conducive to learning and safety. Apply behavior management strategies to support emotional regulation and positive social interactions among children. Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety incidents. Skills Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to infants and toddlers. Experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including classroom experience with early childhood education. Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing educational activities focused on literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment that supports individual needs. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention strategies for diverse learners. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies. Understanding of childhood welfare laws, standardized testing procedures, and behavior management techniques applicable to early childhood settings.
