As a Daycare Assistant, you will work closely with the lead teacher and caregiver to foster positive learning experiences, promote social-emotional growth, and ensure the well-being of every child. Duties Support lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times Assist with classroom organization, including setting up materials and maintaining a clean, inviting environment Engage children in educational games, storytelling, and hands-on learning experiences that stimulate curiosity Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences to foster strong relationships Assist with diaper changing and potty training Cleaning and assisting with meals, snacks and the sanitation/ disinfecting of the daycare and its toys. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred Have a passion for working with children, patience is required Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members in a positive and professional manner
