Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM About Cuidando Los Niños Cuidando Los Niños (CLN) is an early childhood education and family support organization dedicated to empowering children and families experiencing housing instability through education, advocacy, and individualized supportive services. Our Child Development Center provides a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for children from infancy through PreK. We are seeking a dependable, flexible, and caring Floating Staff Member who can provide classroom support throughout the center. Position Summary The Floating Staff Member is an important part of CLN's education team and must be comfortable working across multiple classrooms and age groups. This position provides coverage and additional classroom support based on the daily needs of the center. The ideal candidate is adaptable, dependable, team-oriented, and able to transition smoothly between classrooms while maintaining consistent expectations for safety, supervision, engagement, and quality care. This is a full-time position requiring availability between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Daily schedules may vary within this timeframe based on staffing and classroom needs. Key Responsibilities Provide classroom coverage and support in Infant, Toddler, Mixed PreK, and PreK classrooms as assigned. Maintain active supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Support teachers with classroom routines, learning activities, transitions, meals, rest periods, and outdoor play. Engage positively and appropriately with children throughout the day. Follow classroom lesson plans, routines, and established curriculum practices. Assist with maintaining clean, organized, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom environments. Support appropriate child guidance and social-emotional development. Follow all CLN policies, licensing requirements, health and safety procedures, and confidentiality expectations. Communicate professionally and respectfully with children, families, coworkers, and leadership. Step into different classrooms or responsibilities as needed to support center operations. Participate in required training, professional development, staff meetings, and continuous quality improvement activities. Qualifications Experience working with young children in an early childhood education or childcare setting preferred. Early childhood education coursework, credentials, or degree preferred. Ability and willingness to work with children across multiple age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and PreK children. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom routines and staffing needs. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality. Ability to meet all required background check, licensing, and employment requirements.

Pay:

$18.00 - $24.94 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
