Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Infant Teacher to nurture and educate our youngest learners. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of early childhood development, with expertise in creating engaging, age-appropriate curricula and fostering a supportive classroom environment. As an Infant Teacher, you will be responsible for guiding infants through their foundational learning experiences, promoting social-emotional growth, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to infants' developmental stages, incorporating elements of Montessori, literacy education, and creative writing where appropriate. Organize classroom activities that promote cognitive, motor, and social skills development while maintaining a structured yet flexible daily routine. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a respectful and inclusive atmosphere for all children. Collaborate with colleagues and families to monitor each child's progress, providing regular updates and guidance on developmental milestones. Adapt instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of children, including those with disabilities or developmental delays such as autism or other special education requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of children's growth and learning experiences, including proofreading reports and lesson plans for clarity and effectiveness. Foster a nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being, encouraging social interaction and self-confidence among infants. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times to provide a secure learning space. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience working with children in classroom settings, including classroom management and activity organization. Proficiency in curriculum development and implementation tailored to infants' needs. Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children. Ability to adapt instruction for children with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism or other special needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members. Experience working within private school environments or similar educational settings is preferred. Skills in mentoring colleagues and providing guidance on instructional strategies. Knowledge of literacy education, Montessori methods, math fundamentals, and creative writing techniques relevant to early childhood learning.
