Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring an engaging and nurturing environment for toddlers and preschoolers. Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster collaborative relationships. Ensure compliance with all mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe learning environment. Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support diverse learning needs. Maintain accurate records of child development progress, assessments, and standardized testing results. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance on curriculum development and classroom management best practices. Uphold health and safety standards by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and implementing health protocols diligently. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, including toddler care and early childhood education roles. Strong knowledge of child development instruction, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies. Experience with special education, early intervention programs, and literacy education is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate math, physical education, and other core subjects aligned with preschool standards. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and health & safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certification. Ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment for all children. Prior experience in private schools or daycare centers is a plus; however, all applicants must have relevant teaching experience with young children.
