Job Description

This position is for Monday-Friday. Hours are 3:00pm-5:30pm. Must be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities :
Work in classrooms as assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, or designated sit supervisor (room assignments may vary throughout the day depending on the day's needs of the center). Children are ages 6 weeks - 5 years old. Facilitate age-appropriate activities in the classroom Maintain a quality classroom environment that promotes the health, safety, and wellbeing of the children. Ensure children are properly supervised at all times Maintain confidentiality within the program/classroom Attend regular staff meetings and participate in ongoing mandated training. Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by OCFS, the Childcare Center, and the Faculty Student Association of CCC, Inc. Maintain accurate recordings and documentation Develop and maintain relationships with families Effectively communicate with co-workers, children, and parents/guardians Maintain consistency with time and attendance Other duties as assigned by the Director, Assistant Director, or designated site supervisor
Physical Requirements and Environmental Demands:
Lift and carry both children (ages 6 weeks-5 years old) and equipment Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and get up and down regularly to properly engage with children Stand, walk, and occasionally run to ensure safety of children React quickly during emergency situations Feed children, change diapers, and assist with toileting and other daily functions as needed. The work environment is mostly indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. Employees are required to go outside with children daily weather permitting.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Experience working with children Caring personality Reliable and respectful Team player

$16.00 - $16.48 per hour
