Job Description

STREAM Early Learning Center, a well-established progressive Early Childhood and Elementary School, seeks an innovative, creative, and knowledgeable 3K for ALL (3 year olds) Lead Teacher. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in early childhood settings, knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach or a commitment to learning. S/he will be a positive school community member and will enjoy working collaboratively with a team and building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Supportive work environment with excellent opportunities for professional development throughout the year provided by both the school and NYC Department of Education. Salary is based on NYCDOE Non-Union Salary Schedule.

Required :

NYS ECE Certification B.A. or M.A. Degree in Early Childhood Education Have a constructivist approach to education. Be creative, thoughtful, self-reflective, a problem solver, & a lifelong learner. Work collaboratively with partner teachers and across disciplines in the creation of meaningful, engaging, and authentic learning experiences for students.

Preferred:

Knowledge of Jewish Holidays & Customs a plus Minimum 1 year of classroom experience
