This is a unique support position for someone who enjoys being busy, helping others, and working in a child care environment but does not necessarily want to spend their entire shift assigned to one classroom. Our Center Support Assistant is truly an extra pair of hands throughout the center . Each morning may look a little different depending on the needs of our children, families, teachers, and administrative team. Reliability and consistent availability for the 6:45 AM start time is essential for this position, as this team member plays an important role in opening the center and preparing for morning arrival. What You'll DoMorning Center Opening & Family Support Help open and prepare the center for the day. Turn on classroom lights and make sure classrooms and common areas are ready for arrival. Welcome children and families during morning drop-off. Open the front door for families and visitors as needed. Answer incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner. Assist families during arrival and departure. Help maintain a welcoming, organized front entrance and lobby. Classroom & Staff Support Serve as an extra set of hands throughout the center wherever support is needed. Step into classrooms temporarily to assist teachers during busy periods. Provide classroom coverage so teachers can take scheduled bathroom breaks. Assist with morning transitions and classroom routines as needed. Help prepare or organize classroom materials. Assist with general tidying and organization throughout the center. Help prepare materials for classroom projects, seasonal activities, and center events. Complete other operational tasks as needed to help the center run smoothly. While the role includes answering phones, greeting families, and supporting the front office, a significant portion of the day is spent moving throughout the center and providing hands-on operational and classroom support . We're looking for someone who sees a teacher who needs a quick bathroom break, laundry that needs to be switched, dishes that need to be washed, a family waiting at the door, or a classroom that needs an extra set of hands—and is comfortable jumping in to help. If you are dependable, enjoy staying busy, and love being the person everyone can count on to help keep the day running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you!
