Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of toddlers. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners, ensuring they receive high-quality care and education that promotes their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the early learning experiences of our youngest students while collaborating closely with families and colleagues to create a vibrant classroom community. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers' needs, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning. Lead daily classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including language skills, motor skills, and basic math concepts. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all children. Plan and execute lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and individualized child development goals. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong partnerships built on trust and transparency. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain effective classroom management and high-quality care. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications, and maintain accurate documentation of student progress. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, particularly with toddlers aged 1-3 years old. Strong knowledge of child development principles, childhood education best practices, and preschool teaching methodologies. Proficiency in curriculum development that includes literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and social-emotional learning strategies. Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and a nurturing environment. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate standardized testing where appropriate for assessment purposes. Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and child welfare practices to support diverse learners. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; experience working within private school or preschool environments is preferred.
