Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services, is looking for a Part Time Pet Care & Front Desk Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in dog daycare, kennel, veterinary, pet care, retail, or customer service environments . This is a hybrid, cross-trained role that blends front desk, customer service, marketing, sales, with daily back of house, cleaning, playroom and spa operations. This position is ideal for someone who loves dogs, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in being part of a team-first, all-hands-on-deck culture. This is not a desk only position, team members are expected to jump in wherever needed throughout the day. At Dogtopia, there is no "that's not my job" mindset. Our team works together to deliver an exceptional experience for both dogs and their owners.
What This Role Looks Like:
Your primary focus will be delivering an outstanding front desk experience, driving sales, building relationships, and managing communication. Following the morning rush, you will transition into supporting daily operations. Responsibilities may include marketing & social media initiatives, meet & greets, cleaning tasks, dog handling, feeding, spa support, and playroom coverage as needed. Primary Responsibilities (Front Desk, Sales & Customer Experience): Manage check-in and check-out process efficiently and professionally Engage with pet parents in the lobby—create a welcoming, upbeat environment Answer phones, emails, and voicemails promptly and professionally Follow up with leads and convert inquiries into daycare enrollments Conduct Meet & Greets with pet parents and evaluate dogs Educate customers on Dogtopia services and benefits Confidently recommend and upsell daycare packages, spa services, and add-ons Maintain accurate records including pet parent charts and vaccine records Schedule daycare, boarding, and spa services Support in-store marketing initiatives and social media efforts Assist with local marketing events and community outreach Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area Monitor playroom cameras to support canine coaches Secondary Responsibilities (Dog Care & Facility Operations Support): Safely escort dogs to and from playrooms Perform wellness checks during arrival and departure Assist with dog feeding (breakfast, lunch, dinner prep and delivery) Support grooming and spa services (baths, nail trims, prep work) Help cover playroom breaks as needed Assist with cleaning duties throughout the facility (non-playroom areas, laundry, etc.) Support boarding setup (food, medication, bedding, belongings) Ensure dogs go home clean, safe, and well cared for Jump in to support team members wherever needed

Hours of Operation:
Monday - Saturday 6:30 AM - 7:00
PM Requirements:
Part time work , Saturday's and some fill in coverage as your schedule permits. Must be flexible to support team coverage as needed Must be comfortable staying active and on your feet throughout the shift Qualifications Must love dogs Customer service, retail, or sales experience preferred Experience in dog daycare, kennel, veterinary, or animal care is a plus Strong communication and multitasking skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to stand for extended periods and lift pups at times Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
