TODDLER SPECIALIST TRAINER/COACH

Job Summary:

The Infant Toddler Specialist provides programmatic infant and toddler consultation to teaching staff, center directors, child care providers, and parents across a 17-county region. This project supports the success of each child's development through coaching, mentoring, and training. The Infant Toddler Specialist is a trainer/coach position that promotes healthy growth in young children's development by guiding and supporting the adults in the child's life to recognize, understand learning and growth opportunities. The Infant Toddler Specialist will also collect required data, maintain records, and support compliance with child care regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Observe, assess, and mentor individuals working in infant and toddler care settings.
• Inspire those working with infants and toddlers to engage in responsive practices that support children, families, and the community.
• Work as part of a team specifically trained to meet the needs of infant and toddler development and care.
• Regularly provide training to child care providers.
• Create and develop training and resources to guide professional development for child care providers.
• Participate in agency and network efforts to improve child care experiences.

Qualifications, Education and Experience Most importantly candidates should have extensive experience working with infants and toddlers in the child care setting and the capability to use the knowledge gained to help providers strengthen their practice and knowledge of infant and toddler development. Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Early Childhood or related field. Three to five years of experience working with infants and toddlers in an early childhood setting. A NYS Credentialed Trainers Certificate required. Travel to child care programs located in Albany, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Otsego, Schoharie, Warren and Washington Counties.

Full-time, 37.5 hours/week, 7.5 hours/day, Monday-Friday with an occasional

Saturday Pay:
