Job Description
Join a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality early childhood education for Head Start children. As the Lead Teacher in a multi-session classroom serving 12 to 20 preschool-aged children, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and supporting families. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community by fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Responsibilities Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for preschool-aged children in accordance with Head Start standards. Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and their families, promoting family engagement and partnerships. Coordinate with community resources and services to support childrens and families needs. Maintain accurate records, including attendance, assessments, and ongoing monitoring of child progress. Participate in self-assessment and continuous improvement activities for the classroom and program. Supervise and support classroom staff, fostering a collaborative and professional environment. Qualifications Associates or Bachelors degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool-aged children. Valid drivers license. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist children as needed throughout the day. Successful completion of a physical examination, background check, and fingerprinting screen.
