North Fork Cheer is seeking a part-time Early Childhood Tumbling & Movement Instructor to join our team in Cutchogue, NY. We are looking for an energetic, confident instructor who genuinely loves working with young children and knows how to create a structured, upbeat and FUN class environment. Our early childhood programs introduce young athletes to tumbling, movement, body awareness, coordination, balance and foundational athletic skills through structured instruction and learning through play. We are looking for someone who: Genuinely loves working with young children Brings positive, upbeat energy into the gym Can confidently manage a group and maintain structure Is creative and knows how to make learning fun Can redirect young children positively when they become distracted Keeps a class moving rather than allowing excessive downtime Communicates clearly and enthusiastically with children Is dependable, prepared and takes initiative Understands that great coaching means creating an environment children are excited to return to each week Experience in any of the following is especially valuable: Early childhood education, Preschool programs, Gymnastics, Tumbling, Cheerleading, Dance , Youth recreation, Physical education, Ninja programs, Children's fitness Cheerleading experience is not required for this position. Experience working successfully with young children is extremely important.

Responsibilities include:

Leading structured early childhood tumbling and movement classes Teaching beginner skills using safe, age-appropriate progressions Creating stations, games and activities that reinforce class objectives Managing transitions and keeping athletes actively engaged Maintaining a positive, encouraging and FUN class culture Providing appropriate behavioral redirection while maintaining class flow Setting up and resetting equipment as needed Communicating professionally with families and NOFO staff This is a hands-on instructional position. We are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable taking ownership of a class and creating an experience that children and families look forward to each week. Part-time afternoon/evening and Saturday opportunities available.
