Lil' Sprouts Early Learning Center is looking for a warm, energetic, dependable, and caring Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team! Our Assistant Teachers play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where young children can learn, explore, and grow. This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and wants to be part of a collaborative, supportive preschool community. As an Assistant Teacher, you will work alongside our lead teachers and provide support throughout the center as needed. You may assist in different classrooms and with children of various ages, making flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude essential to the role. Position Hours Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-3:30 PM We are specifically looking for candidates who are available to work this schedule consistently. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans. Engage children in activities that encourage social-emotional development, early literacy, math, creativity, problem-solving, and fine and gross motor skills. Support positive classroom management and help create a calm, respectful, and nurturing environment. Assist children with daily routines, including diapering, toileting/potty training, handwashing, meals, snacks, rest time, and outdoor play. Maintain active supervision of children and prioritize health and safety at all times. Build positive and meaningful relationships with children while responding to their individual needs and developmental stages. Assist children who may need additional support with behavior, communication, or developmental needs. Help prepare, organize, and clean classroom materials and learning spaces. Work collaboratively with lead teachers and other staff members to ensure consistency in classroom routines and expectations. Communicate professionally and respectfully with families and colleagues. Assist with special events, center-wide activities, and other school activities as needed. Be willing to provide flexible support in various classrooms throughout the center. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, childcare, camp, school, or similar setting is required . A genuine love of working with young children and an interest in early childhood education. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Dependable, patient, energetic, and willing to learn. Ability to remain calm and positive in a busy classroom environment. Comfortable assisting with diapering, toileting, meals, nap/rest time, and other personal care routines. Ability to adapt to different classrooms, age groups, and daily needs. Experience working with children with developmental differences or special needs is a plus. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus; training can be provided as required. Must be 18 years of age or older . Must speak English; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
