Job Description

This position serves as the lead teacher in a full day classroom of 12 to 20 Head start Children This position is chiefly responsible for the following core functions: Planning, program implementation, family partnerships, community and service coordination, record keeping and recording on-going monitoring and self-assessment, and supervision and human resources.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Required (Required of applicant in order to be interviewed. Examples include certifications, ability to work weekends, driver license, bilingual English/Spanish): Associates or Bachelors degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education with experience teaching preschool age children. Valid Drivers License. Preferred (Examples include knowledge, abilities, certifications, characteristics such as professional and/or approachable demeanor, ability to work with frequent interruptions, etc.): Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development Bi-lingual English-Spanish
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Indicate anything out of the ordinary (Examples include ladders, lifting, travel, client home visits, evenings/weekends, holiday hours, exposure to heat/cold, emergency/on-call status): Must be able to pick able to lift a child weighing 40 pounds, able to lift as many as twenty children in a day if needed Pass physical examination, background check, and fingerprinting screen Drivers license required.
Offered compensation:
$27/hr - $32/hr
