Job Description

Overview Join our play to learn based early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will make a meaningful difference in young lives! In this role, you will support the development and well-being of children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Your positive energy and proactive approach will help create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment that fosters growth, curiosity, and joy. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to early childhood development while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist the head child care provider in implementing daily activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Support children with their routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and bathroom needs Engage with children in age-appropriate play, educational activities, and learning exercises to stimulate curiosity and skill-building Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards Observe children's progress, behaviors, and needs to inform ongoing developmental/ care plans Work with team members to manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies Skills Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster a positive learning environment Ability to respond quickly with first aid skills in case of minor injuries or emergencies Compassionate caregiver with experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members Familiarity with behavior management strategies and caregiving best practices for toddlers and infants Here at Ms. Jonna's we strive to provide quality child centered care through diverse, hands-on activities that allow children to explore in their own way.
