Job Description
$22.00 to $25.00 per hour. Mondays only, 3 to 5 hours. Building Kidz of Queensbury is looking for a music teacher to lead weekly sessions with our infant and toddler classrooms at our Luzerne Road center. One day a week. You come in Monday, you play music with babies and one-year-olds and two-year-olds, and you go home. That is the whole job. What it looks like Short sessions, room by room, with a classroom teacher alongside you the whole time. Songs, rhythm instruments, movement, call and response. Infants and toddlers are the best and hardest audience there is. Their attention lasts about four minutes, they will not sit in a circle, and when a song lands you can see it on every face in the room. You bring the music. We handle the crowd control. What we need You can carry a tune and hold a beat. Guitar, ukulele, piano, or just your voice. Some experience with young children, formal or not Able to satisfy all required OCFS background checks You show up when you say you will. One day a week means the day matters. A music degree is not required. Church musicians, gigging players, music students, retired teachers, and parents who have run a toddler singalong are all a good fit. Pay and details $22.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience Mondays, 3 to 5 hours, during the school day Instruments and supplies not provided, bring your own Before you start, New York requires an OCFS background clearance and a short medical statement from your doctor.
