$18.50 to $20.50 per hour, plus bonuses. Building Kidz of Queensbury is hiring a lead preschool teacher for our Luzerne Road center. You will run your own classroom, with an assistant teacher alongside you. The role starts at $18.50. Several years leading a classroom moves you up from there. The schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday, one 8 to 9 hour shift each day between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Guaranteed 38-40 paid hours per week. No nights, no weekends. Unexpected callouts occasionally create a same-day shift change. When we know earlier, we tell you earlier. If we need you past your scheduled end time, we ask first and pay for all time worked. You'll lead daily lessons, track where each child is developmentally, run parent conferences, and mentor the assistant teacher working with you. What we need New York requires preschool teachers to hold one of the following: An associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field A CDA, or other OCFS-recognized preschool credential, plus one year of experience caring for children 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field, working toward a CDA or an associate's degree, plus two years of experience caring for children If you are partway there, apply anyway.
