Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. As a key leader in early childhood education, you will develop and implement developmentally appropriate curricula, foster positive behavior, and build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development will help lay a solid foundation for children's lifelong learning and growth. Duties Co-Teach Design and execute innovative, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Develop curriculum tailored to individual child needs, including special education and early intervention strategies. Manage daily classroom activities to ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for toddlers and preschoolers. Implement behavior management techniques to encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates. Maintain accurate records of child development progress, standardized testing results, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities, assessments, and professional development opportunities. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and following childcare regulations. Skills Extensive experience working with young children in preschool or childcare settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early childhood education best practices. Proven classroom management skills to foster a positive learning environment. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners. Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies. Skilled in lesson planning that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young learners is a plus. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety procedures. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or preschool teaching are preferred. Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners including toddlers and children requiring additional support.
