Job Description
Duties:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in a childcare setting
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Support the development of social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills in children
- Monitor and supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Assist with potty training and personal hygiene routines
- Manage behavior and promote positive discipline techniques
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Maintain a clean and organized childcare space
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with toddlers, preschoolers, or children with special needs is preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Ability to create and implement engaging curriculum plans
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to adapt to the needs of individual children, including those with autism or other special needs
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
