Kids by the Bunch is a privately owned and operated Early Learning Childcare Center located in Syosset, New York. We provide high-quality care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years during the academic year, as well as a Summer Camp program for children ages 5 to 12. We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, creative, and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and excited about making a meaningful impact during the most important years of a child's development. Our ideal candidate is someone who understands that preschool is about more than academics. It is about helping children develop confidence, independence, friendships, curiosity, and a genuine love of learning. Responsibilities As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, engaged, and excited to learn. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Creating a warm, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards Planning and facilitating meaningful large-group and small-group learning experiences Supporting children's social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development Providing opportunities for children to explore, create, problem-solve, and develop independence Observing and responding to individual children's interests, strengths, and developmental needs Maintaining a clean, organized, safe, and inviting classroom Establishing positive and professional relationships with families Communicating thoughtfully with families regarding children's progress, accomplishments, and daily experiences Collaborating with fellow teachers and administration to provide a consistent and positive experience for children Participating in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education Currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education Current CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential in Preschool Willingness to obtain a CDA Credential in Preschool The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Passionate about working with young children Warm, patient, nurturing, and dependable Creative and enthusiastic about creating engaging learning experiences A strong communicator with children, families, and colleagues Organized and able to take ownership of their classroom A positive, collaborative team member Dedicated to creating an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported Excited to continue learning and growing as an early childhood professional Why Join Kids by the Bunch?
