Job Description

Bellevue Heights Nursery School (BHNS) is accepting applications for a full-time UPK teacher to begin August, 2026. BHNS offers the gold standard in play-based preschool education and partners with the Westhill CSD to offer two UPK classrooms. The successful applicant with work closely with our Curriculum Coordinator to provide their class with developmentally appropriate and state aligned play-based learning. Our staff receives top notch support, a generous supply budget, ample training and all the tools needed to create a successful and collaborative teaching environment. and set up a visit to our beautiful school to see for yourself why BHNS is the best place to learn, grow and teach!
Lead Teacher responsibilities include:
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate preschool activities for young children.
  • Communicate with parents utilizing a variety of modalities such as SeeSaw, email, newsletters etc. Also, prepare progress reports and host parent/teacher conferences as required by school guidelines.
  • Assist in planning for and attend school events such as Open House and fundraising events.
  • Supervise children in the program and ensure safety at all times.
  • Adhere to all OCFS Licensing requirements for staff.
  • Other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Teacher Certification preferred but not required.
  • Must enjoy working with preschool aged children. Experience in early childhood education is required.
  • Willingness to collaborate with other staff to create a rich and diverse learning environment for the students.
Job Type:

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
