About us Little Tulip Daycare Center of Williston Park believe a high-quality childcare program is one of the most important pathways for children's cognitive, social, and emotional skills to develop, with a positive trajectory for later school success. Our vision is to bring high quality childcare program to children in our community. Little Tulip is looking for qualified Assistant Teachers for our Toddler classroom. An Assistant Teacher will provide a nurturing and safe environment for young children to develop and reach age-appropriate milestones. You will demonstrate good judgment in the care and play with each child assigned to you. You will verbally engage the children throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities. Job Schedule Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5:30 pm Responsibilities for Assistant Teacher Ensures that children are supervised at all times as well as in the bathroom and outdoor Assist children with activities of daily life (nap, diapering, bathroom, hand washing, etc.) Assist lead teacher to plan and carry out activities for a group of children Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom for children Report accidents, illness, and unusual behavior to the program director Participate in other job duties, as assigned Qualifications At least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED Two years of experience working with young children Provide names and contact information for three references Reliable and punctual Meet annual professional development requirements, per
