About us Bean and Sprout Kids Center, a Montessori Daycare in Woodside (Queens, NY), conveniently located next to the Subway and Bus station, is seeking a qualified and experienced Early Childhood Education Center Assistant Director / Administrator to join the team, work as the assistant to the Education Director to provide administrative and classroom leadership to ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining high standards of Montessori education, regulatory compliance, daily engagement and staff support.
Qualification:
  • A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related field of study
  • At least two years of experience as a group teacher in a program for children under six years of age
  • NYS Early Childhood Education (Birth - Grade 2) Certification highly preferred
  • Must be passionate about educating and nurturing young minds; Organized, hardworking, goal-oriented, excellent communication skills and seeking long-term employment
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus
  • Must have Pre-employment verification, Screening clearance, and necessary training before the start of employment Primary Responsibilities Administrative Leadership Oversee daily administrative operations; coordinate enrollment, registration, student records, attendance, and Brightwheel administration; maintain personnel and student files and required documentation; support scheduling, purchasing, billing, inventory, and office organization.
Operational Leadership Ensure safe and efficient daily operations; monitor staffing ratios and classroom coverage; coordinate substitute teacher coverage and emergency response; maintain compliance with DOHMH, OCFS, FDNY, and all applicable regulations. Staff Leadership Support onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and professional development; promote teamwork and accountability. Family Engagement Conduct tours and enrollment meetings if needed; respond professionally to family questions and concerns, and build positive relationships with families. Temporary duties for relatively brief periods of time on an as-needed basis Serve as Education Director Designee when the Education Director is absent; serve as a Lead Guide to cover the classroom teaching, or employee breaks; supervise aftercare children.

$55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
