Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Classroom Assistant! In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning, promote social-emotional development, and ensure a safe and inclusive space for children to thrive. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood development while gaining valuable classroom experience. Duties Assist lead teachers with implementing daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and early childhood education activities Support classroom management by helping maintain a positive, organized, and safe environment for children Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, creativity, and cognitive development Help supervise children during playtime, meals, nap times, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times Collaborate with teachers to develop individualized support strategies for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or behavioral challenges Support classroom setup and cleanup to maintain an inviting learning space that encourages curiosity and exploration Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to foster a collaborative educational environment Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and curriculum development techniques Strong classroom management skills and the ability to assist in behavior management strategies Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff Technical proficiency in educational tools or classroom technology preferred Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team and support teacher-led instruction Experience in Montessori or other specialized preschool approaches is a plus Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for early childhood teaching roles Join us in shaping young minds!
