Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Full-Time Floater and School-Age Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team at Cardial Academy. In this versatile role, you will provide high-quality care and instruction to children across various age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and creativity. Provide consistent care for toddlers, preschoolers, infants, and school-age children, tailoring your approach to meet each child's developmental needs. Plan and implement educational activities that foster childhood development, including play-based learning and structured lessons. Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining vigilant supervision and adhering to health and safety protocols. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise. Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily schedules, classroom transitions, and special events. Maintain accurate documentation related to child observations, incident reports, and activity logs in compliance with licensing requirements. Requirements Proven experience working with children of various ages, including toddlers and elementary school-age children. Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective behavior management strategies. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is encouraged. Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Ability to plan engaging activities tailored to different age groups and developmental stages. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Previous classroom or daycare experience is preferred; babysitting or nannying experience is also valuable.
