Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a nurturing environment for young learners. In this role, you will support classroom activities, assist with child supervision, and contribute to the development of foundational skills in children from 18 months through preschool age. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting learning environment Help with diapering, feeding, and nap routines in accordance with health and safety standards Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly and appropriately Support children's social-emotional development through positive behavior management and encouragement Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) is required Strong classroom management skills and the ability to supervise children effectively Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols Passion for teaching young children and supporting their growth through themed-based learning Join us in creating a joyful, safe space where every child can thrive!
