Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills tailored for three-year-olds. Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence. Manage daily classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development. Conduct assessments of children's developmental progress using standardized testing methods when appropriate to inform instruction and support early intervention efforts. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child safety, incidents, and developmental milestones. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate childhood development principles and foster holistic growth in preschoolers. Maintain certifications such as First Aid and CPR to ensure a safe environment at all times. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children aged three years old in a preschool or early childhood education setting. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for young learners. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development stages, behavior management techniques, and preschool teaching best practices. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Previous experience teaching physical education or implementing literacy education strategies is advantageous.
