Job Description
We are looking for a part time child care assistant for the afternoons. Shift is from 3-6pm M-F, additional hours may be available. Hours are in the afternoons...we close at 6pm so no late evenings! Must have a high school diploma or be in an ECE program and pass a background check. Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role involves caring for children of various ages while supporting their developmental needs and ensuring their well-being. Duties Supervise and engage with children in a safe and positive manner. Assist with behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions among children. Maintain a clean and organized childcare environment, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs. Foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects diversity among children and families. Qualifications Previous experience in daycare, caregiving, babysitting, or similar roles is highly desirable. Ability to create engaging classroom activities that cater to different age groups. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with parents and other staff members.
