Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Daycare Substitute, where your energy and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. In this dynamic role, you will step into various classroom settings to provide consistent, nurturing care and support for children from infancy through school age. Your enthusiasm and flexibility will help ensure a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for every child, even on short notice. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain diverse classroom experience while fostering early childhood development.
Hours:
Hours will vary depending on call offs and vacations. Could be any time Monday through Friday during the hours of 7am-6pm Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional growth Ensure the safety of all children by adhering to strict supervision and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and organized environment Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, progress, and any concerns, fostering strong parent partnerships Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic infant care as needed in toddler or infant classrooms Support teachers with classroom setup, clean-up, and instructional activities related to child development instruction
Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older Must have a highschool diploma or GED Must be able to pass a background check This role is an excellent stepping stone for those passionate about early childhood education and eager to contribute positively to children's growth.
