Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool children age 4-5
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in young children.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.
• Manage classroom behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to support children's educational and developmental needs.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing individualized attention and support as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and development.

All current positions begin at 8:30am, and would end at 12:30 with options to stay until 2:00 if more hours are desired. Current programs that need filled would be Monday Wednesday and Friday.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
• Strong understanding of early intervention strategies for children with special needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote active learning and critical thinking.
• Patience, flexibility, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.
• Sufficient mobility to allow for getting eye level with a 3-5 year old, picking up a child if needed, functioning within a preschool sized classroom, doing large motor activities with a class, and moving easily throughout a building with multiple flights of stairs.
• MUST be able to pass a BCI and FBI background check
• CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse and Communicable Disease certification must be obtained once hired.
