Child Care Teacher Sidney-Shelby County YMCA - Child Development Center Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities The Sidney-Shelby County YMCA is looking for caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to join our Child Development Center team! We are currently hiring for a variety of child care teaching opportunities, including Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Floaters . Whether you have experience working in early childhood education or are looking for an opportunity to grow in the child care field, we would love to learn more about you. We are open to discussing opportunities based on your experience, availability, and our current program needs. Available Opportunities Lead Teacher Assistant Teacher Floater Full-time and part-time schedules may be available Opportunities may include working with infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age children What You'll Do Help provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff. Assist with age-appropriate activities, learning experiences, and daily routines. Support classroom lesson plans and activities. Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Follow YMCA policies and applicable child care licensing requirements. Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other members of the Child Development Center team. Participate in required training and professional development. Perform additional child care responsibilities based on position and classroom needs. What We're Looking For A genuine interest in working with and supporting children. Dependable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers. Previous child care or early childhood experience is preferred for some positions but is not required for all opportunities. Lead Teacher positions may require additional education, credentials, and/or experience based on licensing and program requirements. Must be able to meet applicable Ohio child care licensing and training requirements. Why the YMCA?
