Our Lead Teachers play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, structured, and fun environment where children can learn, grow, and feel loved each day. The Two-Year-Old Lead Teacher will oversee the daily classroom experience while building positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with toddlers, understands the unique joys and challenges of this age group, and is ready to create a classroom where children can thrive. Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe, loving, clean, and engaging classroom environment for two-year-old children. Plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities that encourage early learning, creativity, language development, sensory exploration, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional growth. Follow Go Kids' established curriculum, classroom schedule, policies, and procedures. Lead daily classroom routines including meals and snacks, diapering and potty training, nap time, outdoor play, learning activities, and transitions. Provide positive guidance and age-appropriate redirection while helping children learn appropriate classroom behaviors, independence, and social skills. Build meaningful relationships with each child and become familiar with their individual routines, personalities, developmental needs, and milestones. Communicate positively and professionally with parents and guardians regarding their child's day, progress, needs, and any concerns. Maintain an organized classroom and ensure toys, learning materials, and classroom spaces are cleaned and sanitized according to Go Kids procedures. Complete required classroom documentation accurately and on time. Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios and follow all Oklahoma DHS childcare licensing requirements . Follow all health, safety, supervision, and mandated reporting requirements. Work closely with Go Kids team members to provide consistent and high-quality care. Provide direction and support to classroom staff while helping create a positive and cooperative team environment. Participate in required staff meetings, training, professional development, and Go Kids events. Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, patience, kindness, and a positive attitude each day. Qualifications Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare center, daycare, preschool, or early childhood education environment is preferred. Previous experience with toddlers or two-year-olds is strongly preferred. Lead Teacher or classroom management experience is a plus. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for young children. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Ability to confidently lead classroom routines and provide positive guidance to children. Must be dependable, patient, nurturing, and comfortable working in an active classroom environment. Must meet all applicable Oklahoma DHS childcare licensing and training requirements . CPR and First Aid certification is preferred or must be obtained within the required timeframe.
