This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in preschool-aged children. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement strategies. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians as needed. Foster strong relationships with children, promoting their social skills and emotional well-being. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible. Stay informed about the latest trends in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities. Experience A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Proven experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting. Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with caregiving practices for children with disabilities is a plus. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required. CDA, CCP, or COM required. DHS regulations knowledge preferred.
